PDFpen 3.4.2 Released With Improvements in OCR Font Handling

San Francisco, CA - June 25, 2008 - SmileOnMyMac has released PDFpen 3.4.2, an update to its award-winning PDF editing and form-filling tool for Mac OS X. The update offers improved handling of font widths for fonts used frequently in optical character recognition (OCR), as well as a number of bug fixes.

All the new features of PDFpen 3.4.2 have also been added to PDFpenPro 3.4.2, the Pro version that has the ability to create fillable PDF forms in addition to all the features of PDFpen.

PDFpen 3.4.2 can be downloaded at http://www.smileonmymac.com/PDFpen/download.html. The update is free for registered users of PDFpen 3.x.

PDFpen costs $49.95. PDFpenPro costs $94.95. The Family Pack, for up to 5 computers in one household, is $74.95 for PDFpen and $149.95 for PDFpenPro. Upgrades from earlier versions of either application are $25.00. Upgrades from PDFpen to PDFpenPro are $45.00. Mac OS X 10.4 or later is required. Both PDFpen and PDFpenPro are Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) compatible.
