TextExpander saves you countless keystrokes with customized abbreviations for your frequently-used text strings and images.

New! In TextExpander 2, you can add links to these snippet files and have them updated on a regular basis. Here's how:

1) Click the TextExpander menubar icon and open "TextExpander Preferences..."
2) Click on the "Snippets" tab.
3) Beneath the list of snippets on the left, click on the plus plus button button.
4) From the dropdown menu that appears, choose "Add Predefined Group."
5) In the Group Preferences on the right, select the frequency you want to have the group updated.

This is the easiest way to add these snippet files to use in TextExpander. You can also download the files and import them into TextExpander.

TextExpander AutoCorrect Snippet File

TextExpander can automatically correct misspellings and typos as you type. This file contains approximately 100 common mistakes. The incorrect versions are added to the TextExpander snippet library as abbreviations that are replaced by the correct versions when typed.

To import a snippet file, follow these steps:

1) Download the Snippet file by clicking on the link above.
2) If the file does not unzip automatically, double-click on it. Drag the snippet file to your Documents folder (or other preferred location).
3) Click the TextExpander menubar icon and open "TextExpander Preferences..."
4) Click on the "Snippets" tab.
5) Beneath the list of snippets on the left, click on the plus - button.
6) From the dropdown menu that appears, choose "Add Group from File..."
7) Browse for the file and select it.
